BS 8491:2008(R2015)标准适用范围
The Standard- BS 8491:2008(R2015) describes a method for assessment of the fire integrity of large diameter power cable for use as components for smoke and heat control systems as given in BS 7346-6, and certain other active fire safety systems. It is applicable to cables of rated voltage not exceeding 600/1000V and of overall diameter greater than 20mm

英标耐火电缆标准－BS6387耐火冲击水喷完整性测试
全球通用的耐火电缆标准的着眼点是依赖电缆绝缘保持其在火灾条件下完整性的能力。英国标准BS6387“在火灾条件下保持线路完整性的电缆性能要求”提出了一些衡量不同火焰温度、喷水和机械冲击条件下电缆性能的判据。这个被称为“CWZ”的最高级别的标准，即耐火电缆耐火性能分类试验标准，是目前世界上耐火电缆的最高标准。这个标准的具体试验要求是：
英国BS6387 C类耐火电缆：经受950℃火焰烧180分钟；
英国BS6387 W类耐火电缆：经受650℃火焰烧15分钟和喷水浇15分钟；
英国BS6387 Z类耐火电缆：经受950℃火焰烧和机械冲击15分钟。
本标准的目的为评估当电缆暴露在这些情况下，电缆是否能够电路的完整性。这对于消防安全系统非常重要，如应急照明场所。耐火电缆国外测试标准主要有：BS8491，BS6387，BS EN 50200，BS 8491等标准。
